Facebook IPO: Facebook was valued at $104 billion

Facebook IPO watch: The Stock Exchange for non-listed companies SharesPost announced that the last auction of Facebook stock had been completed. According to sources, the final transaction price was $44.10 per share, calculated by this, the company was valued at approximately $104 billion.

Facebook filed the IPO registration statement with the U.S. SEC (Security And Exchange Commission) recently and intends to formally go public in May this year, but the ultimate IPO date depends on the SEC. Read more about the Facebook IPO date.

Facebook will offer a total of $5 billion shares in its public offering. Facebook co-founders have exercised options worth about $4.8 billion on Friday. SharesPost said, this was the last private auction of the Facebook stock.

There have been approximately 1100 institutions or individuals involved in a variety of auctions of Facebook stock. Approximately $425 million worth shares of Facebook stock were transferred by auctions in SharesPost, accounting for less than 0.5% of the Facebook’s total share capital.
