Facebook IPO watch: The Facebook’s potential valuation fell nearly 5% to about $98 billion in a stock auction held in the private stock market SharePost Tuesday.
SharesPost said in a statement released yesterday, in the process of an 200,000 fund units (1 fund unit is equal to a share of Facebook stock) auction held February 14, the Facebook’s stock trading price was $42 per share. SharesPos estimated there are about 2.33 billion outstanding shares of Facebook, including preferred shares that may be issued. Calculated by this, the latest valuation of the company is $97.86 billion.
In the process of the 150,000 shares of the Facebook class B common stock auction held by SharesPost on February 8, the facebook stock trading price was $44 per share and the facebook valuation was $102.6 billion.
After the listing, the valuation may be changed in the private equity market as the actual number of issued shares.
