Mead Johnson raised quarterly dividend by 15%

The U.S. infant formula manufacturer Mead Johnson Nutrition, Co. announced to raise its quarterly dividend by 15%, which makes Mead Johnson be one of the companies paying the dividends to shareholders in recent months.

Mead Johnson announced to increase the quarterly dividend by 4 cents, to 30 cents, which make the company pay additional about $32.6 million a year. In recent months, many companies have increased dividends in order to restore investors’ confidence in the company’s growth prospects. The data show that Mead Johnson is focusing more on emerging markets. The company realised profit growth over the most of last year. Mead Johnson announced substantial growth in sales in Asia and Latin America. In addition, the company announced last month it would spend $325 million to establish a manufacturing technology center in Singapore.
