OVRL share price soared 31.75%, or $0.40, to close at $1.66 after the company announced that Administrative Law Judge Charles Bullock of the U.S. International Trade Commission (“ITC”) has issued a 125-page, full version of the Initial Determination that explains the reasons for a ruling in a patent case. The full Initial Determination is confidential and only the attorneys in the ITC action are able to review it. OVRL traded 972,497 shares today versus a daily average of 95,420 shares. AMRS traded 2.96 million shares, well above the daily average of 936,885 shares.Earlier this month, Amyris announced that it was awarded a contract from the U.S. Department of Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) to develop tools that can extend the scope of AMRS’s industrial synthetic biology technology platform across several biological platforms and cell types. JAX soared 16.46%, or $1.63, to close at $11.53 with a volume of 235,256 shares, well above the daily average of 21,962 shares. The big gain in JAX shares was boosted by the news that J. Alexander’s Corporation announced that on Friday, June 22, it has singed a definitive agreement to be acquired by Fidelity National Financial, Inc. (FNF) with a subsidiary of American Blue Ribbon Holdings, Inc., a newly formed, majority owned subsidiary of FNF, in a transaction which values the equity of J. Alexander’s at approximately $72 million. On the basis of the latest closing price, JAX currently has a market cap of $69.14 million.
